By Meyme Nakash
The 26th Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève takes place in Geneva on November 7, with 84 nominated watches competing across 19 prize categories, including the Aiguille d'Or Grand Prix. The ceremony is conducted entirely in English for the first time, and the winners are announced at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices from 6:30pm CET, with a livestream on Hodinkee and gphg.org. The 84 finalists have already been shown in Mumbai and Bangkok, and after the awards Watches of Switzerland presents them in an exhibition at its Knightsbridge showroom in London, with an invite-only preview on November 18 and public viewing November 19 to 23. Mark Kauzlarich of Hodinkee is on this year's jury of 24, which accounts for two-thirds of the result, with the GPHG Academy making up the remaining third. The edition also drops men's and women's categories in favor of grouping watches by their characteristics and types.
